The Hilton Leningradskaya in Moscow started its operation in 1954. It is housed in a wonderful and at the same time impressive historical building which enchants every visitor.
The hotel itself is the smallest of the Moscow’s skyscrapers known as the “7 sisters”. Nevertheless, its interior surpasses the other six. It is decorated with rare stones, iron doors, sculptures and impressive crystal chandeliers.
On the second lobby, the amazing 12 m tall ceiling is made of gold-plated wood-carved panels and is decorated by handmade bronze lamps. All these are copies of orthodox temples’ chandeliers.
The site of Hilton Leningradskaya
It is 5 minutes away the metro stations Krasnye Vorota and Komsomolskaya and some stops away from Kremlin and the Red Square.
The airport Sheremetyevo is 25km away and it’s easy to get there by using the metro and then the train. Also, if you prefer it, you can use the hotel’s transportation service in the proportional cost.
It’s a quiet area. Around the stations you can find café, small souvenir stores and a big shopping center. The hotel’s location is ideal for those who want to investigate all the important sights of Moscow.
The Lobby of Hilton Leningradskaya
As soon as we entered the hotel we admired the place. The decoration of Hilton’s Leningradskaya lobby is “tactfully” luxurious and this is something that always impresses me. The staff is very polite and helpful, so the visitor has the sense of caring from the first moment.
Moving to the second lobby, walking up the marble stairs and opening the door that leads to the floors, one can see an amazing bronze chandelier 15, 5 m tall. It was added in Guinness book.
The Rooms of Hilton Leningradskaya
The hotel has 18 floors and 273 rooms.
Our room on the 6o floor was big, bright and fully equipped. In the big lighted closet there were electric iron and iron board if you wanted to use it. A comfortable desk, satellite TV, a small lounge and of course there was free wifi everywhere in the hotel.
The bed was big, comfortable with an excellent mattress which ensured you a wonderful sleep.
The mini bar was replenished with chocolates, drinks, refreshments and juices. It still had kettle if you liked to make tea or hot coffee.
The big bathroom was equipped with the necessary hygiene products, hair dryer, bath tub and shower.
Recreation and Well Being Grounds
The Hilton Leningradskaya has a big and fully equipped gym, indoor pool, Shauna and Jacuzzi.
It has also 6 conference halls and an impressive hall for events and weddings having capacity of more than 250 persons. The hotel also has a gift shop.
Another pleasant surprise was the restaurant where the breakfast is served. Its large windows which are facing the street, its wood carved ceiling with gold plated details and the shimmering chandeliers made me wishing to stay there having my coffee and looking out of the window.
So you understand that our mornings were tasty and “decorated” with aesthetics too!
We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Leningradskaya in Moscow. Its site was convenient because we could get easily to all the sights of the city. The personnel were friendly, polite and helpful.
So for those who desire easy access everywhere and as well as quietness and luxury for their stay I strongly recommend it.
